THE ORIGINAL PUMP JET

A.C.T., Inc. is the original manufacturer of the Pump Jet since 1990 and to the present day. This company and its members are proud to provide the best and most reliable Pump Jet product on a USA-manufactured outboard.  We are committed to quality service and satisfaction for our customers throughout the world.

Don’t be fooled by the imitations.  A 2017 professional rescue event included a product by RaidersOutboard.com that appears to resemble A.C.T., Inc.’s Pump Jet.  That is where it stopped.

At this time, we are not aware of any offshore manufacturing of our Pump Jet, or any other similar product.

Please buy only from pre-qualified, authorized Dealers / Partners.

HOW THE PUMP JET CAME TO BE

In early 1990, the U. S. Department of Defense recognized the need to develop an outboard motor which permitted boat training and operations to be conducted in a safe and reliable manner at both night and in daylight with men and women in the water.

Previous attempts to adapt cages and guards to protect open propellers resulted in unacceptable performance losses and decreased engine reliability.

Under contract with DoD, A.C.T., Inc. developed patented Pump Jet technology to meet this need.  Design and manufacturing support by A.C.T., Inc. [Orlando FL] and Hall Machine Co. [Princeton NJ]  led to the innovative and adaptive alternative to the open propeller outboard motor - the Pump Jet.  [See photo below]  Manufacturing operations began in 1990.

With proven performance around the world, Pump Jet advanced outboard propulsion technology is available through a network of qualified Dealers/Partners to:
  - all branches of the United States Military
  - Federal, State and Local government agencies
  - First Responders
  - Swift Water Rescue Emergency Services
  - International sales to government agencies
